Proposals for Sloane Square

There are alternative proposals for improvements to Sloane Square currently being prepared; one set of proposals by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and another by the Save Sloane Square Group. Both proposals will be the subject of a public consultation excercise that is due to take place shortly.

It has been reported in the Press that The Chelsea Society supports the proposals of the Royal Borough; this is not correct; the Society will consider whether or not to support either set of proposals after it has viewed them during the period for public consultation.

I see niether proposal allows for grass or flower beds. I know that people tend to destroy these plantings; but an area, even if fenced off like Chelsea Green, would make either proposal more attractive.
